Time to re-learn your ABC:
How to Assess, Build and Commercialize in the AI era
The 16th edition of the Nordic Translation and Interpretation Forum (#NTIF2026) will take place in Lund, Sweden, on 17–19 November 2026.
The language industry is no longer preparing for change — it is operating inside it.
AI, automation and large language models are rapidly reshaping how language services are produced, delivered, priced and sold. New competitors are emerging overnight. Traditional business models are under pressure. Leadership teams are being forced to rethink not only technology strategies, but how organizations create value in the first place.
This year’s NTIF theme is therefore:
Assess. Build. Commercialize.
Three simple words — and perhaps the new survival kit for the language industry.
- Assess what is actually changing in your market, your workflows, your customer expectations and your business model.
- Build new capabilities, new teams, new partnerships and new ways of working in an AI-first environment.
- Commercialize innovation successfully — turning experimentation into scalable services, profitable offerings and sustainable growth.
But this transformation is not only about tools and technology.
It is also about leadership.
How do we lead organizations through uncertainty?
How do we build cultures that can adapt continuously?
How do we balance efficiency with quality, trust and human expertise?
And what happens to the role of translators, interpreters and localization professionals as the industry reinvents itself?
For #NTIF2026, we invite the Nordic and Baltic language community to share real experiences, bold ideas and practical lessons from the front lines of change.
We want to hear your stories about:
- Reinventing language service businesses
- AI implementation and organizational transformation
- New commercial models and pricing strategies
- Building AI-ready teams and workflows
- Localization in an AI-native product world
- Interpreting in rapidly changing environments
- Leadership, culture and resilience during transformation
- Successful collaborations across technology, language and business
- Human expertise as a competitive advantage
- Innovation that actually delivers value
