About Asta

Asta Rusakevičienė has nearly 30 years of experience in the translation industry. She is the owner and CEO of Diskusija, a boutique translation and localisation company with far-reaching expertise in Baltic and Central, Eastern and South-eastern European languages. She founded the company during her French linguistics studies.

Asta has a master’s degree in three different  areas: French Philology, Political Science, and International Business Management. She uses all of these competences in her company management activities and always strives to keep abreast of the newest industry developments and implement them into the company’s processes.

Asta is involved with industry associations and organisations. She is the Chair of Eulogia, a European alliance of translation agencies, and a founding member of the Association of Lithuanian Translation Companies, which she served as president for 8 years. She is also an active member of GALA and ELIA. If there is time to spare, she enjoys spending it with her family hiking or skiing.
