Lucas Nunes Vieira is Associate Professor in Translation Studies at the University of Bristol. He received a New Investigator Award from the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council and is a current Arts and Humanities Research Council Fellow. Vieira has published widely on machine translation and society. His latest project examines uses of machine/AI translation tools in high-stakes public service settings.
