Minna Pöntys has had a long career in accessibility. She started in 2001 as a subtitling editor at Yle, after which she worked for eight years as the Head of The Subtitling Team. Now as Senior Advisor of Accessibility and Public Service (since 2019), she engages in close dialogue with customers, organizations and other stakeholders of minority groups. She shares information about different media needs in Yle, helping the company to make programs and services more accessible to everyone. By education, Pöntys is a Master of Arts and has studied Finnish language, literature, pedagogy and expressive arts.
