Torben Blach is Senior Project Manager in the AI Lab at Alexandra Instituttet A/S in Denmark. Alexandra Instituttet has been providing research-based knowledge and consultancy within AI, computer vision, cybersecurity, digital health and other technologies since 1999.

Torben has more than 20 years of experience in the technology field, working with software development, project management and business development in various areas. These range from artificial intelligence, digital publishing solutions for newspapers, community and e-commerce solutions to the development of back-end management systems and embedded control systems for wind turbines.

His current focus is on the possibilities of AI, data science and machine learning, and he spends most of his time working with support for the Danish language in generative AI and large language models (LMM).

He is the project manager for the Danish project: ‘CoRal – Conversation and Read-aloud Dataset’, which focuses on collecting speech data and developing solutions to support Danish language technology, as well as the Danish part of ‘TrustLLM’, an EU project focused on developing a reliable and unbiased LLM for Germanic languages. He is also part of the steering committee of the Danish Language Model Consortium, which is currently working on collecting a large compliant language data set from Danish companies and organizations.
