Leonora Vesterbacka is a Senior Data Scientist at KBLab at the National Library of Sweden, where she is the head of AI R&D activities, which includes training large language models and speech-to-text models in Swedish using the library’s collections. Thanks to the quality of the large collections of the National Library of Sweden, KBLabs LLMs and speech-to-text models are immensly popular with more than 4 million downloads and users in industry, academia and government agencies. She holds a PhD in physics and have experience from ML research at CERN and NYU.
